I recently received a buddy pass from my mother in law, and just listed myself for the flight I wanted. I understand that it's a stand-by ticket, but as this is my first time using one of these, I'm really nervous. I was hoping someone could share their experiences with these passes so I can get a good idea of what is most likely to happen to me. I'm fine with not making it on my preferred flight, or even the second or third one, but I think what I'm the most nervous about is ending up stuck at the airport all day, or in the worst case scenario, not make it on a single flight that day I'm also worried about my return trip, what if it happens then? I'm going to need to be back at work the day after I'm booked to return home, is it possible I don't make it home in time?

I'm probably just worrying too much, but I tend to do that a lot haha. So yeah, it'd ease my mind so so much if I could get some stories from people who have used these!

Also I'll be travelling on a Sunday, which I just read is a peak day? So that made my fears of not making it on a flight even worse, yaaay haha.
