There are several "relatively cheap" credit cards out there that will give you PRIMARY coverage on car rentals in the US and in Europe.
Chase Sapphire comes to mind.
For $95 (usually first year waived) you get a great card, great service with CHASE and a nice bonus of 40-50K points.
