Almost. There's one exception: You can get the Citi Executive AA card which is a personal card, but it has a very high annual fee ($450, not waived) and quite high spend requirements ($5000 in the same 2.5 months) to get another 50k. If still interested, see this separate thread about it:

If you got that Executive AA card, your ~18 month clock for
any other AA personal cards would reset again.
If you don't get that Executive AA card, then, yes, your ~18 month clock started in July 2013.
