I had a fraud alert on my account the other day when purchasing mall GCs, thought it was interesting since I had done the same transaction many times before but this was the first time an alert came up.
I also thought it was strange that the agent said "let me take a look at the notes on your account." I had never called Cap1 so the "notes" they have aren't from conversations that I have had with them.
May need to stay under the radar for a little bit, I have a 20K line and have been pushing between 10-12K/mo for the past couple months.
My scenario was the same as far as the charges go. I'll be charging to the same place over and over again, and they'll finally flag it for "fraud" a month later. I get an e-mail, I click the option that says "I approve these charges" wait a few hours, try again, and I'm STILL shutdown. Cap1's system is completely broken. I've never been able to get the fraud lifted on my own. I call and tell them the automatic system doesn't work, but it doesn't do anything.
