When searching for award availability, I have identified the following route that has non-award flights for each leg of the flight

JAX -> DTW -> AMS -> BUD

When checking award availability, I was able to find award availability on Flying Blue web site for 2 of the 3 legs DTW -> AMS -> BUD

When I check for the whole route: JAX -> DTW -> AMS -> BUD no award availability shows up.

My questions are:
1. Do all legs of a flight have to have award availability in order to purchase a award ticket for the whole route
2. If I was to call Flying Blue directly would I be able to purchase a award ticket for the whole route even though no availability show only for the Jax -> DTW leg?
