These price gouging extras will be completely insignificant after you have paid for a nice LDH lodge.

My suggestion is that you can recoup the value of the extras by careful packing of your luggage to carry things you'd otherwise have to buy over there - eg coffee, vegemite, herbs and spices, nuts and nibbles, stock cubes, limes - ie all those high cost small and light items. Expect to pay up to double the price to get them on LDH.

Remember the weight limits for this particular Dash8 flight - also, you no long are asked to stand on the scales holding your carry-on bag!
