The Pulitzer rooms (at least many of them) can only be accessed through a maze of up and down stairs (indicated in reviews). There in no mention of this at the Andaz - so am I correct in assuming they aren't for the most part? This could sway my decision since I have some mobility issues and well have a bit if luggage since this is a pre cruise stay. Note that I'm Hyatt Diamond and SPG Platinum. Thanks!

I've sent an email to the Pulitzer asking about this issue but no reply as of yet.
Its typical of Pulitzer customer service. I hate the hotel (yes I know I should say that more politely)
There was a day when I was a forced to stay there meeting elite requirements in SPG.
Their Platinum treatment was extremely inconsistent typically poor for over ten years
Its an overpriced tourist trap that gouges on pricing and is far from a Luxury Collection property that one would expect
I know it has its fans I am simply not one of them. Id rather stay at the airport Sheraton over this one!
The Pulitzer mobility wise is a nightmare and IMHO a disappointing hotel in almost everyway although it is indeed charming and historically significant
Many Dutch get married there. Its absurdly over priced for what it is.
Added to that I have seen mice in the hallways and linens on the bed that hadn't been replaced in months
Its layout is confusing and for anyone even moderately handicapped 100% not even remotely recommended.

Andaz is fantastic in so many ways when you consider the designers and architects overcame building issues despite its historic nature
Their challenges are very similar to the Pulitzer but the designers triumphed in the end
It flows brilliantly from elevator to hallway and guest rooms without issue. Makes it seem like you are in any elegant modern well designed hotel
more like a small hip and trendy small boutique condo with substance
The elevators @ Andaz are also vastly superior modern and efficient and easier to access the lobby in mere seconds/ minutes
I'm there next month and looking forward to my return and the lovely heartfelt can do team
Cheers
