So.... how is the Turkish business class? I sure don't want to go that far in an "Air France" type business class...fully reclining seats? decent width? food and entertainment?
I appreciate it if one of you experts fills me in as I have never flown them and all I know from TV is that they bounce soccer balls around during the flights

LOL, well depends on where you're flying from and to. Your profile mentions HKG but since you say UA then I assume you're originating in North America somewhere? You'll unfortunately find 4 1/2 types of the long haul fleet from North American gateways, so you'll have to let us in on that bit. Some are really good (both varieties of 77W and A333) and some are pretty rotten (A332 and A343). Having said that I just did IST-NRT on the 332 and was so exhausted that I still slept over 6 hours.
The regional fleet is mostly crap, Euro style business with blocked middle seat that folds down into a large drink holder and armrest and perhaps a couple inches more seat pitch. There are now some planes floating around that have Comfort Class style seats in business, not sure if these are going to your Middle East destination or not (again you didn't say where, but assume DXB, KWI, or BAH since you mention UA)
