I have never flown out of NCL and I don't think of it as very easy to get to (I am EDI based) so I assume the same is true in reverse, but as you say if you are talking about a once a year holiday then it might make all the difference. Is NCL a leisure-heavy airport?
NCL does have a fair proportion of leisure travel and in addition its catchment area includes Cumbria and the Borders/parts of Dumfries and Galloway. All of these areas could easily switch to GLA/EDI.
