We had planned a trip from HOU to BUF. The outbound was a Getaway Fare or whatever they call it. The return was Senior Fare. The Senior portion was refunded but the outbound was not, in accordance with rules.

When I emailed Southwest to ask if my wife and I could transfer those future travel awards to our kids I got a very confusing answer from them explaining how refunds are applied. It did not say anything about transfer.

So, does my wife have to use her refund and I have to use mine under our Rapid Awards number or can they be transferred to someone else?

We paid via credit card up front and just would like clarification. Thx.
