(I'm talking about purposeful hoarding of seats, knowing they'll cancel all but one.)

(2) The small locally-owned grocery in Bohinj? The little hardware store in Aberystwyth? The really good wine shop in Santa Rosa? (This is a silly question.)

(3) That still doesn't make it classy. And while on the surface it just sounds cheap, to me it would be quite expensive in terms of how I value my time during a vacation.
1) I didn't say they were. I simply said that based on my reading of threads talking about this in the UA forum, it is a common and accepted practice in the FT community.

2) Are you being difficult on purpose? I specifically said I goto walmart because they are (usually) open 24 hrs, have everything, and are easily accessible and ubiquitous. You say you value your time but then you list a grocery, a hardware store, and a wine shop (in far flung locations to sound like you're cosmopolitan). Walmart has it's negatives, but you still have not listed a comparable store. So I will list one: Meijer in the midwest. The only drawback is, if you're not familiar with the midwest, how do you know it exists??

3) Every single time I've been to a walmart it's been on the way to the hotel or elsewhere I have to go. And you can only handwave the return trip since you still have to make a trip to go. Again, what is this with classy? we are in the forum talking about hoarding points to goto "Bohinj". You can not disagree that it is well within the return policy.
