Scandinavian Airlines Systems (SAS) has been forced to cancel more than 100 flights this morning as several thousands airport workers, including luggage handling staff, have walked-out from Copenhagen Airports AS' Kastrup airport, RB-Boersen reported, citing head of information at SAS, Troels Rasmussen.
"A large part of the Europe, domestic, and Scandinavian traffic has been hit by cancellations," Rasmussen told RB-Boersen.
But flights to and from Oslo, Stockholm, Greenland, Asia and the US are more
or less unaffected, it said.
The airport workers are taking part in a union-organised demonstration against the government's budget proposal for 2002.
