I booked that fare to Sweden a ways back. I am now unable to get off of work/school and can't fly it. Not the end of the world since I used UA credit to buy in the first place but if I can I'd like to get "my money's" worth.

It's on 9/29 so I have to figure it out soon.

Can possibly wait for the last minute and pray for a cancellation, try to get credit. I think cancellation is unlikely though.

My other idea is to change the flight. If it's less than the value of ticket (in my case $530) I just have to pay change fee, right? In that case it's $300.

I have one flight I need to book which is $300 anyway, so I am looking to book that along with another trip that is $2-400 or so.

I would prefer to do it on Thanksgiving, I have no plan. I get off work around 6:30p Wed, will take about an hour to get to either LAX or BUR. Need to be back for work by 8a on Saturday.

Any ideas? Otherwise, any ideas for a 0-4 day run in Jan-Mar of 2015 that is $2-400?
