There was a pour soul yesterday who was flying from Nanjing to HKG, only to connect to Taipei (it was on one of the placards waiting for arriving passengers at the entrance to the terminal building). That passenger should have just taken the nonstop flight on AE to Taipei. Perhaps nowadays people should think of transiting via TPE to go between HKG and Shanghai/Nanjing/Hangzhou/Suzhou ?
