Can you start the trip HKG? Hong Kong regulates YQ, so it should be much lower compare to Singapore. AFAIK, LHR charges high fees during arrival, maybe you can change to other cities in the UK to lower the fee.
Also, I haven't seen a lot of SQ flights to LHR on Aeroplan. Even if they do they'll all be in Y class, and it must be in Round-Trip.
Alternatively, you can try to trade your KF points in Coupon Connections once you reach 200 post
