This is why I refuse to fly US carriers long haul in Y or Y+. I've seen too many stories of people getting bumped out of Y+ due to irrops or other reasons. No way will I risk riding in AA's 10-across Y class on the 77W or refurbished 772.
There's no
risk to the new 772 config -- it's supposed to be 10-across even in MCE.
I really hope AA eventually gets a real PE product. As it stands, I will very happily fly CX or JL PE in preference to AA for my transpacs next year.
