Just because I'm short does not mean I don't appreciate space. So, I maintain elite status to retain access to more room vice buying on each flight.

If many did not want to pay the absolute cheapest fare possible, perhaps airlines could make a profit without cramming every seat possible into an aircraft. Airlines are businesses, not charities.
