I have been told by a Chinese ATC that Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen all uses ONE AIRWAY that all airplanes have to bottle neck through for in and out traffic. He says traffic will only get worsen if PLA doesn't agree to open up more airways in that Triangle of Nightmare (his words)

Also, ATC actually prioritizes secondary airports' flight to Hong Kong than PVG/SHA flights to Hong Kong because the mentality is Shanghai is so big they can handle delays, other airports only have one or two flights to HK a day so might as well get them off the ground sooner rather than later...
