Just to say...

In the end we stayed the extra night in Shinjuku instead of Narita City so we ended up taking N'EX both ways.

1,500 ¥ into the city and and 3,500 ¥ out. About US$ 50. each way for two people. Same as ORD, except with 2 hours+ additional travel time total.
