Moving on Sukhumvit at peak hours by car is not the fastest way to do things. The BTS (Skytrain) leaves from very close to the JW and stops at Thonglor which is very close to the Marriott on S57 and will take less than 15 minutes at peak times and costs aprox 30 THB. I would do that next time if possible.
