No problem, I've checked oddly shaped/appearing items before without an issue. I would be more concerned about damage and scratching so be sure to wrap it well if you want it back in good condition. Cardboard then stretch wrap might work. You might write on the packaging *Open Here* to assist the TSA with inspection.
