That shouldn't be a problem assuming the flight in arrives generally on time. All the concourses at CLT connect to a central hub, so at worst you'll have to walk the length of the two concourses and across the hub (and Concourse A with the AA flights isn't a very long one). The worst walk is from the Express gates (Concourse E), but coming from BWI I expect you'll be on a mainline flight.
