It might be worth exploring the option of going on Qantas London to either Syd or Mel then onwards with them to NZ - to AKL ideally or CHC or WLG
I have been able to secure 2 First class reward seats on QF from London to OZ and then in Business trans-Tasman
And F on the A380 is very nice indeed
