I do feel sorry for those who travel predominantly on domestic or short haul discount economy for the vast majority of their travel since you oinly earn 10 TPs a flight and can do a lot of flying and not get many TPs. I think there is a flight method of earning status as well though, is it 50 flights a year gets you silver? Even so it is still not ideal. I guess whatever FFP you design there will always be certain categories of travellers who don't do as well from it unfortunately.
