I am flying on an economy (coach) award ticket (booked in "X" by American Airlines) I have tried to choose exit-row seating multiple times, including having agents choose it for me, and yet i keep getting confirmed, then the seats change back to the original seats (non-exit row)

As an OWE flying on an award ticket should i be able to choose the exit row less than 7 days in advanced?
