The German and English announcements that LH pilots and crew make on their s/h sectors often contain significant differences, the English ones often being shorter and/or using "stock phrases".

Sitting at a LHR T1 gate a few weeks ago, having endured a 60+ min ATC delay, then finding out the dispatcher and tug had forgotten us. The pilot came on and explained to (in German) that since he'd been unable to reach anyone at LHR he'd just phoned home to LH in MUC on his mobile to get them to phone LHR and pass on the "tug gone AWOL" message ...

The German version of this told the full extent of the screw-up and his annoyance, the English-(only)-speakers got the radio edit
