Hong Kong-based Cabin Crew Language Deficiencies

I fly regularly between Hong Kong and Heathrow on BA, and have noticed a consistent deficiency in the quality of the Cantonese and Mandarin announcements made by the HK-based cabin crew. First, even standard embarkation / disembarkment announcements seem to be translated / made up on the fly, resulting in hesitant, unconfident, and awkward announcements. Also, announcements from the flight deck are often mistranslated and doted with important factual errors / omissions. On one flight, the captain has gone to great lengths to describe the mechanical issue (some cargo got loose in the hold) at hand that was delaying the aircraft. The Cantonese version of the announcements just mentioned some vague 'mechanical issue'. Furthermore, the quality of the Mandarin announcements is atrocious. Mispronunciations are frequent, and most announcements don't get translated at all. Given BA's growth plan in China, surely some improvement would be needed?
