I've looked at maps and it looks like the Hyatt Bund is not close to any subway. We're only there for 3 days before taking a cruise and easy access to the tourist sites (Poeple's Square, Shanghai Museum, etc) is most important. I've read that most taxi drivers neither speak nor read English. It's looks like too much for us to get acclimated to in just a short time. It also looks like the PH and GH are closest to the subway which would take us directly to the sites we want to see, plus the Big Bus Tour, which we will probably take for an overview, stops right there vs. a way away from the HOTB.

We can afford the PH and I will attempt to use a DSU. I gather there is no Club. Does the breakfast restaurant offer a a la carte Western meal for Diamonds? Consisting of what? It seems like there are a lot more Western restaurants on this side of the river. The minimum suites at the PH seem twice as large as those at the GH or HOTB. But the GH has the Club and from from we've read they offer more Western items on their breakfast and early evening offerings. At the PH I gather we are on our own for the evening. We prefer Western over Asian food at all meals.

Very confused and would appreciate any further input. With just such a short stay and not wanting to take taxis, does either the GH or the PH seem best suited to us?
