The passenger and cabin attendant paranoia about this released and cleared passenger -- a passenger accepted by the pilot and the governmental authorities -- indeed was based on racism of the sort which has the "scary" "dark" "man" being perceived as a "possible" "terrorist" in the whipped up fantasies of the hysterical racists. Making and acting upon assumptions about a passenger based on the race of the passenger is called racism in action because it is racism.
