I hadn't cruised for many years until last December in the Carribean and was surprised that the cruise line (Holland America) didn't let guests bring their own alcohol on board. I am cruising with Viking in a few weeks and wondered what the rules are. They explicitly say local wines can be brought on board but nothing about hard liquor, beer, soft drinks.
