Seems you got a nice upgrade and enjoyed the property, which is always good !
Just to put things in perspective, which Conrad EL would you compare to this one?

The room has a door that separates it from the living room which had 2 couches, a good size desk, a Keurig k cup coffee maker. The master bedroom also has a sitting area with 2 chairs and a small accent table, also there is a lighted dresser and small chair, perfect for puttIng on makeup and drying hair.
The exec lounge is comparable to some of the Conrad lounges I've been to in terms of service and offerings. There's enough food and variety in the evening buffet to make a dinner out of. On our first night, the chef was hand rolling Peking duck in pancakes with all the usual condiments. From 4-6 pm, the lounge has afternoon tea where they serve finger sandwiches, pastries, fresh fruit and different kinds of cheeses. I'll give the lounge staff an A for service, friendliness and professionalism. They will go out of their way to please guests. The omelet chef at breakfast made sure she had some spinach for my omelet when I asked for spinach in my omelette the day before and they did not usually have it in the choices. They will also let EL lounge guests have breakfast at the main breakfast buffet downstairs if the guest prefers to eat there.
The gym is well equipped with other machines besides the usual treadmill, elliptical and bike. They have some of the equipment you will find at a regular gym, along with the free weights. The pool is also large for a hotel pool.
I've read some so so and bad reviews on this Hilton prior to my visit. But my own experience had been nothing but pleasant, even impressive. Maybe they have made some major changes, specially in the EL.
Quick tip: if taking metro line 2 to PVG, passengers need to get off ( I think it's about 7-8 exits before PVG. I can't remember the name of the stop ) and continue on another train still on Line 2 just a about a few yards from the track where you get off, on the same level.
