Based on my research, AA does not allow 24 hour cancellation (just 1 day hold). Is this true? Are there other airlines that offer 24 hour cancellation and are easy to use?

The reason is that I'm going to buy AA tickets with my aa miles but need proof of the cash price since I'm getting reimbursement for this travel. They are aware that I'm doing this.
