My wife and I stayed at this Ritz Carlton property in Sintra, Portugal for three nights in June 2014. We loved the hotel, and the country of Portugal. Upon our return, I checked my Marriott rewards account and received no points for any food and beverage spending (we were using points for our room). I contacted Marriott Rewards and were told that no points were awarded at Ritz Carlton properties. I thought it was odd.

We also stayed at Praia D'El Rey in Obidos and Fontecruz Lisboa where we did earn points for our food and beverage spending.
