CIHY that would be for a 747 (like BA117 for example). BA177 is operated by a 777-300 it seems.
TP_Hitter, the solutions are multiple:
1. Stick to BDE as you are now.
2. Take DEG and swap with any potential F
My slight fear with these 2 options would be though, if someone else with an infant booked 16F and turns up, which of 16E or 16F gets the only bassinet?!!
3. Add an infant to your booking, this will allow you to book 16F. Cancel the infant at T-72 when seats are released to all.
4. Make a fully refundable booking of one adult and one infant, and book 16F (for free) to block the seat. At T-72 cancel that booking and nab the seat which is then available to all. That necessitates cash flow on your credit card, given you will put on your card in September and get refund in November.
All complicated, but known to have been done!
