No Show Protect
On Saturday I was due to be flying EDI-LHR-MIA-CHS however due to many issues with the booking, being overcharged and having to travel to London a day early BA have agreed to allow me to fly the EDI-LHR section tomorrow evening by booking another ticket and then on Saturday turn up at LHR for the LHR-MIA-CHS section of the journey.
They have added a "No Show Protection" to the EDI-LHR flight on Saturday so that when I obviously don't turn up for that flight the rest of the flights on my ticket are not cancelled. So basically I check in as normal as if I am starting the journey from Edinburgh on Saturday, then no show for the first flight and in theory turn up at LHR to check in for my MIA flight having flown down the night before.
Basically wondering if anyone had done this before? It reeks of something that will go wrong and I have everything in writing and will turn up at LHR nice and early.
It was really nice of BA to be so accommodating and do this but just curious as I've never seen anywhere on here speak of it?
Cheers,
David
