Thanks for identifying the properties. It's good for FTers to know so that they can make a decision on whether to stay at them or not, and if they did already to check their points to make sure they credited properly.

To me missing points once or twice might be an oversight, but if you have to retroactively claim the credit every single time that is systematic of a problem - whether it's just a glitch in their system, something accounting is doing wrong, or a policy handed down from the GM, any of which would need to be addressed once the problem is identified.

As you note, besides the extra points owed you there are potentially many other Marriott elites that might be owed points.

It's also annoying in that you then have to chase down the points, taking time from your day. I really do wish Marriott would set up some type of guarantee or extra points awarded in these situations.

If/when you meet with the GM, just politely bring it to his/her attention in your meeting, your belief that it's systematic & is probably a glitch, but what is s/he going to do to get it resolved? Report back on what the GMs in both locations say. FTers also like to know how GMs handle problem situations, whether they rise to the occasion to get something fixed or don't do so.
