And it's because the main runway at GEG is closed while construction occurs on a taxiway.

The main runway's Instrument Landing System (ILS) would normally prevent cancellations due to weather, but the alternate runway being used during taxiway construction doesn't have ILS capabilities.

Construction is scheduled to keep the main runway closed through September 23.
