I'll be spending a bit more time than I would like at LGW soon. EDI - LGW on Sunday 14th overnight at the Gatwick South Terminal Hilton, then off to Porto with EZY (client booked that, I agreed on the basis they would have to buy seat 1A for me which they agreed to). Then back on the Wednesday and a few hours in GC before my flight back to EDI. So plenty of time to decide what I think of LGW vs LHR. Will also fit in a day trip to LCY from EDI this Wednesday.
