No. That's not the question.
My question is, e.g., both EWR-ORD and ORD-SFO flight will have only one flight number, let's say UA1234. If you take the flight you will only be awarded for EWR-SFO mile. However you can get on EWR-ORD and get off at ORD without taking ORD-SFO. What will happen now?
