I guess when you come from a more dangerous place you automatically try to guard yourself. It would be a waste to overnight at Chicago and not visit the city. I have been twice, but being my first trip by myself i prefer to keep it simple and stick just with the SF visit. Thanks for the tips, it's handy to know that both DFW and ORD pack hotels on-site and that both options despite a late arrival are safe.

They won't be the cheapest option but boy are they convenient.

What would you recommend if next time i claim an award i get offered an overnight at DFW,ORD and LAX. If visiting the city i would pick Chicago any day, but if i had to overnight near the airport or at it, what is the better choice out of DFW,ORD,LAX and mainly AA hubs. I suppose JFK is out of the map as it can be very expensive, crowed and stressful. I would think Chicago is more expensive than Los Angeles and Los Angeles generally a bit pricy than Fort Worth, but really i don't have clue. Have stayed in Los Angeles and Chicago, but never in FW.
I'll have in mind your directions, they are very precise, super convenient ! to know.
I'm still keeping CCS-MIA-SFO-DFW-IND-MIA-CCS route. It will save me $$$, hassle and time by skipping the overnights. If i was going with my family i would think that an overnight an almost a complete day at Chicago would be fantastic time. Alone it doesn't make much sense. The IND-MIA leg is operated by an Envoy Air ERJ4 .. i hope it isn't so bad! Have never tried any subsidiaries, A Eagle (i think there most not be much difference between AA, must be the same thing just in a smaller jet) or low cost airlines. Been reading that IND has many good reviews, so i'm looking up to it ! I'll keep trying to find something better but i don't have EF
