I think BA might take the 380 to BOM, as EK and SQ have and LH going to do so shortly...India-USA is a big market at the end of the day.

I'm obviously in the minority in this forum but I think it will increase price pressure on BA on the routes VS is increasing LAX/SFO/MIA and further increase competiveness on JFK... but I think in that market it is UA that will suffer. DTW will also offer VS some good connections with DL through the north of the US.

What they loose - NRT... a market which has been in decline for a whiel
CPT - a market where yields and utilisation are an issue thanks to the ME3
BOM - another market where ME3 capacity to the US has chomped at yields.

YVR - a fairly new seasonal route with little J traffic....so I'd expect BA/AC to pick up the slack as they have in the past... no new frequency but yeilds may return to where they were before VS entered.

Whilst some on V flyer may complain... VS are obviously going where people are willing to pah a decent price and have a desire to go to. All the routes dropped can be accessed by VS partner airlines.
