And the VS flights to CPT were always rammed. Full flights don't necessarily mean big profits. I think lufthansa who have traditionally been strong in the US-India business are starting to feel signs of strain with all the new US frequencies being added by EK/EY/QR and TK.
It does seem to be that now the ME3 have cleaned up on Australia and Southeast Asia, they are next going after the US market with huge expansion there and the connections through their hubs.
As I imagine there is tiny O&D demand from US to ME compared to from the UK.
