Possibly, but I believe the Japanese market has been struggling for quite a few carriers as the premium yields just aren;t what they were after the tsunami/earthquake.
As for BOM and CPT I am sure that the VS capacity is tiny in comparison the what EK/QR etc can soak up. Out of all the reductions it is probably YVR that will help BA more.
Overall though VS will be offering increased frequency/capacity into North America so its probably not all win win for BA.
Until the UK get serious about expanding airport capacity, then the UK will leak more and more people through AMS/DXB/DOH. This is something that is not good for BA or VS.
