Go to Saudi Airlines website and check the status of BOTH ticket numbers.

If AA has correctly re-issued your ticket, the old ticket should show Exch/Reissue under the Coupon column. The new ticket should show either Open, or Airport Control in the coupon column.

This way you would know if you have a valid ticket and which one it is.
