So, no question published fare requirement is still very much in effect, just that there are/will be/can be.. exceptions. And AA.com -will- price some awards differently than AAgents consulting with rates will.

Unless NTL-LAS has exceptions, it does seem to be that it is not correctly handling airline routing rules. For NTL-LAS on HA, the routing rules for all HA's fare state that the routing allowed is
NTL-VA-BNE-HNL-LAS
Is there any details on the permitted exceptions or is it just pot luck on whether aa correctly identifies permitted routings?
