11 September is the "national" day of Catalonia. Barcelona will be full of pro-independence demonstrations and there may be many streets blocked off. It will be hard to find a taxi, etc. given the public holiday here. (think New Year's Eve for taxi availability!)
That said, I can't see why there should be no award availability, unless BA are expecting problems...
