Immediately after takeoff the entertainment system went down and the in charge determined that he should shut off other systems in an "abundance of caution" since he sensed that the electrical system may overheat. As a result the controls for the seats in J also went dark. The staff were able to manually recline most of the J lie flat beds but mine and a few others did not co-operate. As a result I had to spend 10+ hours in a fully upright seat and had very little sleep and no entertainment system. I thought I would wait until my return to YYZ on Monday of next week before requesting compensation. What might I expect?
