Hi all, I recall seeing a thread about what the value of a point of Avios should be, but I can't seem to find it. I'm looking to make a large purchase, enough for a companion pass, but the seller is going to charge 3% for the use of a credit card. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it for the points or to just save the 3% and pay for any tickets the points/companion pass would go toward.

Can anyone direct me to the post I recall or advise as to whether the additional 3% would be worth it to obtain a companion pass and the Avios points?
