I "think" Academy stops at Golden Nugget. It's really a nice property since the renovations. They are very anxious for business too; lots of "status match" opportunities. Of course, you could always cab or jitney over from the boardwalk.
Now that Revel is gone, I'll probably just play at Borgata and Golden Nugget the few times I'm in Atlantic City.
You should meet me at Mohegan Sun, sometime, lots of buses from NYC. It's a much better casino experience anyway, IMHO.
That's not a bad idea actually. I have just always favored Greyhound, similar to how I favor Delta. Not to mention I earn Road Rewards
I have also heard good things about Mohegan Sun. My parents went a couple of years ago and had a great time. I'm looking for an easy day trip but that might be worth looking into!
