I'll be in San Diego later this week with a day to myself between work obligations.

I see the National location in Tijuana just a couple miles from the border has cars for $5 (!) plus tax... that should knock off the Mexico badge. I have no desire to drive in TJ so I'll try to negotiate with the agency to put a mile on the odo and close the contract immediately.

However - I will have a National rental from SAN at the time (that's how I'll get to the border). I know I cannot get concurrent credit for either 1-2-Free or standard credit, but will I still be able to trigger the Mexico bonus when the system sees I rented from TJ even though I'm also renting from SAN at the same time?
